Thelma Alene Thole (89) was born to Thomas Edward and Willie May Galloway on January 11, 1925 in Oklahoma City, OK. Thelma went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2014, in Crystal, MN, where she resided for the last five years. Her granddaughter's family lived near the Care Center and provided loving care for Thelma. She grew up on a farm near Perry, OK, and in 1940 married Frank Thole. After his service in World War ll, they raised their six children in Wichita, KS. They were active members of Pawnee Ave. Church of God and they were owners of Southend Sewing Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank (1982); her daughter, Sharon Ruffolo; her son, Mark; her daughter-in-law, Debbie; her brothers, Grover, Oliver, Otis; and her sisters, Vioma McGrew and Opal Fuller. She is survived by four sons, Terry and his wife Karen of Fresno, CA, Steve (Debbie), of Wichita, Rodney and his wife Nancy of Grand Rapids, MI, and Paul and his wife, Nancy, of Plano, TX; son-in-law, Art Ruffolo; and her brother and his wife Darrell and Elfriede Galloway of Kempner, TX. Thelma is the beloved grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren. Her family was the love of her life and she will be greatly missed. We are thankful to the Lord for His work in her life in bringing her to trust in Christ as her Lord and Savior and to know that she is now with her faithful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. ,
Visitation with family present, 6-8pm, Wed. April 2, 2014 at the DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary and also from 9am-10am, on Thursday, April 3, at Pawnee Ave. Church of God with funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery.
