Gordon, Merle, 86, retired Cessna employee, went to join his Lord and Savior January 1, 2011. Merle was a member of Woodlawn UMC and an avid fisherman, woodworker and camper. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dolores, his wife of 59 years, son-in-law Bob Cooke, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. His survivors include son David (Colleen) Gordon of Wichita; daughter Beverly Cooke of Peck; 5 sisters; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Viewing 12-8 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn UMC, 431 S. Woodlawn in Derby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Victory in the Valley or Woodlawn UMC.
