Thomas "TJ" Joseph Henry Jr.

Thomas J. "TJ" Henry Jr., 75, loving husband, dad, grandpa, friend, and lifetime resident of Wichita, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 21, 2021 with family by his side at Rivermont Assisted Living and Memory Care in Norman, Oklahoma.

TJ was born August 30, 1945 in Axtell, Kansas to the parents of Thomas Sr. & Evelyn (Haug) Henry. He graduated from Wichita South Highschool. He served in the Air Force from 1965-1969 with honorable discharge including a tour in Korea.TJ retired from Boeing/Spirit Aircraft after serving 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors which included fishing and hunting every chance that he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 45 years Merida Henry, and brother John Henry of Denver, Colorado.

He leaves to cherish his memories 3 sons Shane (Dana) Henry, Jeffrey Henry, and Joe Henry; 2 sisters Gerry (Bennie) Tull, and Judy Henry; 3 grandchildren Madison, Cole, and Kollins; and a host of family and friends.

A special thanks to the staff at Rivermont for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Henry family.

A joint memorial service for both TJ and Merida who passed away on September 19, 2020, will be held at a later date.
