

Growing up he was taught the value of a strong work ethic while working on the family farm learning a variety of agricultural skills. He spoke fondly about his years attending school and graduating in the nearby small town of Hudson, Kansas. His stories always mentioned the great friends and the many memories made while there. His secondary education led him to Kansas City where he trained in the field of auto mechanics, relocating near Great Bend after graduation.
Thomas never knew a stranger, had a big heart, and a lot of love for his family. He always gave the best advice, was there when you needed him, and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Beatrice Nolte; sister, Joyce Curtis and brother, Don Nolte.
Tom is survived by his wife, Elaine Ratcliff; son, Benny Dean (Brenda Brandt); daughter, Karole Rae Mead (Jerry); grandsons, Nicholas and Kory Demel; granddaughter, Karlee Dougherty; step-son, Jason Moorhouse; step-daughter, Jonie Klusener; step-grandson, Jakob Byrne and step-granddaughter, Macie Klusener.
