Thomas "TC" Charles Theis

Thomas Charles didn't plan on leaving this world on August 9, 2025 but the universe had other plans. He was born October 3, 1980 in Topeka, Kansas to Kendall T. Theis and Lesa J. (Basks) Theis. At a very young age his Aunt Rita started calling him TC and it stuck.

TC was an affectionate child who didn't know a stranger. He was well-mannered, respectful and loved BIG although he wasn't always good at showing it.

He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, loved basketball and golden globe boxer. When he and his brother were playing basketball and they were talking about who is the best hooper. TC could be seen as a toddler running down the hallway in nothing but a diaper and an afro. TC was a friend to many with a great sense of humor and a mischievous grin. Gone but not forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his Aunt Carla Basks; his grandmother, Linda Sue Dady; his infant sons, Thomas Theis and Christian Theis; his cousins: Melanie Prescott, Amanda Prescott, Jessica Jones and Eddy Jones; his great Aunt Ginger Alexander and his great-grandparents, John and Jane Alexander.

TC is survived by his daughters: Bailey Theis, Kaylia Theis and Deasia Bell; his mother, Lesa Theis; his brother, Robert Basks Sr.; his Aunts: Dana, Rita, Jody and Misty; his grandchildren: Zyairea Smith, Ja'mon Theis and Kay'ari Thomas.

A visitation for TC will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM with a graveside service immediately to follow in the Garden of Christus.
