Tony Sifuentes

Tony Sifuentes, 53, of Goddard, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Tony was born on December 12, 1972, in Houston, Texas, to Hai (Nguyen) and Antonio Sifuentes. He was one of eight siblings: Tri, LeeHa, Helen, Linda, Selena, Teresa, and Rachel. Family was always an important part of Tony’s life, and he carried those connections with him throughout the years.

Tony proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an F-16 avionics specialist, specializing in avionics systems and attack controls. During his service, he earned several awards and honors, including the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, and an Honorable Character of Service. He was honorably discharged as an E-4 Senior Airman.

Tony was a hard worker throughout his life. His very first job was at Pizza Hut, but he eventually found his career in aviation. He spent more than 15 years working as an aviation electrician for Bombardier/Learjet and later spent more than two years at Yingling Aviation. He took great pride in his work and in the skills he developed throughout his career.

Outside of work, Tony had a wide variety of interests and passions. He was especially passionate about martial arts and spent many years practicing judo-jiu-jitsu and karate. He was a member and champion of the Texas Junior Olympic judo-jiu-jitsu team. His love of martial arts even took him to Japan, where he trained with a sword at a temple.

Tony loved music and had a remarkable ability to play many instruments, including the saxophone, guitar, trumpet, tuba, and French horn. He also loved to sing and was a member of a Dallas quartet.

He had a lifelong love of swords and dragons and enjoyed anime, video games, and anything that allowed him to have fun with the people he loved. Some of his favorite memories were made playing Pokémon GO with his children and grandchildren, playing Clash of Clans with Crystal, Adrian, Matthew, and Kayleigh, and spending time with his family playing Guitar Hero and Band Hero even though his wife was off key most of the time.

Tony also loved food—especially phở, soups, and sushi—and loved to cook. He enjoyed sharing that love of cooking with others and teaching his family the skills and recipes he had learned over the years. Food was one of the ways Tony showed his love, and many memories were made around the kitchen and the dinner table.

A lifelong sports fan, Tony especially loved football and proudly followed the Houston Oilers, TCU, and the Houston Texans. He was also a devoted Houston Astros fan, and Warren Moon was his favorite quarterback.

On May 21, 2011, Tony married LeeAnn (Harris) Sifuentes. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and memories. Tony was a father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend, and his family meant more to him than anything else.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife, LeeAnn Sifuentes; his children, Crystal (Adrian) Nase, Brianna Sifuentes, Samantha Sifuentes, Matthew (Jordan Gannon) Sifuentes, Kayleigh (Dylan) Helten, Nathaniel Sifuentes, Michael Sifuentes, Racheal Sifuentes, and his non-officially adopted son, Blake Spears; and his grandchildren, Alexis, Ethan, Breah, Cameron, Christopher, Conor, Brinley, Ellianna, Kinsley, and Levian.

He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Sifuentes; his sisters, Selena Sifuentes and Linda; and his daughter, Adrianna.

Tony will be remembered for his many talents, his love of learning, his adventurous spirit, his sense of humor, and most of all, the love he had for his family. He was a man who could spend one moment talking about martial arts or aviation, the next discussing an anime or video games, and then end the day in the kitchen cooking something for the people he loved.

His life touched many people, and the memories he created with his family will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tony may be gone from this world, but the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, the food he cooked, the music he played, and the memories he made will remain a part of his family forever.
