Treva Ann Phillips, 81, was born Treva Ann Kelley in Cherryvale Kansas Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1937. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday January 28, 2019.

Survived by sister Shirley Ennis, brother Sammie Kelley, son’s Scott Phillips, Nick Phillips (Grace), Jeffrey Phillips (Marsha) and her only daughter Kelly Phillips along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other family members that were very special to her (too many to mention).

Preceded in death by father, Socrates Kelley; mother, Hazel Hopkins-Kelley; sisters, Mildred Cramer and Evelyn Pastore.

Treva was the youngest of 5 children (4 girls and 1 boy). Her family moved from Cherryvale to Wichita when she was around 8 years old where she remained until her death. She raised four children all on her own when her oldest was 10 years old and her youngest was 2 years old. She had a wonderful work ethic sometimes working 2 jobs at once to make ends meet. She worked for EMC Insurance Companies for 18 years, retiring in 2002. She enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, reading and watching movies. She was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren and loved her family very much. Treva loved the Lord and made no bones about the fact that she was tired and ready to “go home”. She is no doubt happy to be HOME.

Treva and I were the best of friends for so many years. We had wonderful memories and the best of times. She was a true friend and I have never forgotten her. Peace and prayers for her family.

Treva was my mother’s best friend when we lived in Wichita. I can remember going to the lake, parks and just hanging around your house when I was young. I still remember her friend spam sandwiches she made me with mayo. I am so sorry for your loss. I would love to hear from the family.

So sorry to hear about Treva. She was my supervisor at EMC before she retired and when my last name was Feldt. I always enjoyed our conversations. If i remember right, she had bought her Cavalier because I liked mine so much that I had just bought. Did she have the same one all these years? I hope you can take comfort in her homegoing.
