Uoc van Tran

Uoc passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 77 in Wichita, Kansas. Uoc was born on February 10, 1949, in Vietnam. He married Dinh Dao and together they had four children, Patricia Tran (Hoang Le), Thomas Tran (Mary Luu), Elizabeth Huynh (Thao Huynh) and Dai Tran (Trang Do).

Uoc Van Tran was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was defined by selflessness, hard work, humility, and unconditional love. He dedicated his life to providing for his family, always placing the needs and happiness of others before his own. Though he lived simply and rarely spent money on himself, his greatest joy came from ensuring his children had every opportunity to live happy and fulfilling lives. A lifelong fisherman, Uoc found peace on the water and rarely missed a day doing what he loved. He also took great pride in tending his garden, where he lovingly grew vegetables and fruit trees, especially his prized Asian pear and jujube trees. Above all, Uoc treasured his family. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his grandchildren, whom he always greeted with love. His quiet strength and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
