

Vanora Eileen Day, of Rolla, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the age of 87. She was born on July 4, 1928 in Renfrow, OK to the late Oliver W. Huffman and Esther B. (Arterburn) Huffman. In December of 1950, she married Robert William Day who preceded her in death January of 2000. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Huffman. Prior to her retirement, Vanora was employed as a secretary for Kelly Services for many years. She was active in D.A.R. and the First United Methodist Church. Some of her favorite activities were spending time with her family and friends, gardening, dancing, and traveling. Vanora will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes: one son, Dale Day of Wichita, KS; a daughter, Shirley Hall and husband Bruce of Rolla, MO; one brother, Eugene Huffman and wife Darlene of Kechi, KS; and two grandchildren, Kristen Hanstine of Rolla, MO and Bryan Hall of Denver, CO. A graveside service for Vanora E. Day will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Wichita, KS. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 at the Resthaven Funeral Home, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, KS.
