Montgomery, Vernon Lee. 57, over the road truck driver and diesel mechanic for BFI for many years, passed away Aug. 16, 2011. Vernon loved to fish and work on cars and was a constant companion to brother David. Visitation will be 1-6 PM Sun., Aug. 21 at Hillside East, with services Mon. at 10:00 AM also at Hillside East, 935 N. Hillside, Wichita. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cem., Augusta. Survivors: wife Mariea and grandchild Teara Compton of the home; daughter Kristie (Mike) Caskey and son Vaughn Montgomery, both of Haysville; mother Leota (Tom) McQuilliams, brother David Montgomery and sister Rhonda Schwind, all of Wichita; and grandchildren Ian and Mya Caskey.
