Vicki M. Powers

Vicki Powers, age 71, born January 26, 1949 and entered eternal life July 8, 2020. Vicki was a loyal friend, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved seeing her kids and grandkids smile. She loved to decorate during the holidays and always had the best-looking Christmas trees around. Vicki enjoyed spending time with her husband either on their trips to Branson or to the casino, watching baseball, football, racing or other activities her grandchildren participated in. Her great-grandbabies were the love of her life.

Vicki was preceded in death by her loving mother and father, John and Marie Heckman; father-in-law, Rodney Powers; and her loving husband of 44 years, Lynn Powers.

She is survived by her sister, Sherry "Dee Dee" Erdman; daughters, Jeree (Chris Farber) Short and Stefanie (Rickey) Hicks; step-son, Brian (Mylisa) Powers; grandchildren, Dustin Short (Candace), Josh Lanterman (Brandi), Ryan Hege, Dan Powers (Nicole), Taylor Champion (Jordan), Jaec Farber, Haylee Hicks and Tyler Hicks; great-grandchildren, Kade Hege, Remi Short, Reagan Powell, Briggs Powers and Hayes Champion; along with many other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Home Health and Hospice of Kansas, 7607 East Harry Street, Wichita, Kansas or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Private Family Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m.,Thursday, July 16th, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.

Due to the COVID-19 gathering restrictions, Vicki's graveside service will be live-streamed on Resthaven's Mortuary & Resthaven Gardens of Memory Facebook page.
