Victor graduated from Wichita West High School in 1960, where he excelled in swimming and football. Later he went to Southern Methodist and graduated from Pittsburg State University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree. After schooling he returned to Wichita and started working for the family business, Wichita Brass and Aluminum Foundry until retirement.
After retirement, Vic enjoyed motorcycle riding, bicycle riding, sailing, hunting and fly fishing. He also loved barbequing, yard work, spending time with friends (Jim and Sue Adams) and family, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs games.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael W. Carter; and wife, June Carter.
He leaves behind two children, Erik (Julie) Carter and Kellie Boles; six grandchildren: Dillon, Drew, Cali, Braedan, Cooper and Ella; sister in-law, Jennifer Carter and step-son David (Lisa) Scott.
