Virgil graduated from East High School and was employed at several different jobs over his lifetime. He was a pressman at McCormick Printing and later worked at Tollie Trucking as an over the road driver.
In his down time, Virgil enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Wilma (Umholtz) Strawder of Inman; his brother, Wayne (Marcia) Strawder of Inman Kansas; and his sister, Cathy Munsell of Wichita, Kansas. He had several nephews, nieces and grand nephews and grand nieces.
Virgil, we haven't forgotten you. We think of you nearly everyday. Your gravemarker has been set and the weather has cooled. Now we are ready to gather at your graveside to honor you and say goodbye.
Join us Tuesday, October 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery, 119th Street and Kellogg, just east of their office. Motorcycles and Harley-Davidson gear are appropriate.
