Virgil Newton Webber

Virgil Newton Webber, age 52, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi - St. Francis Hospital - Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Unit in Wichita. He was born October 10, 1970, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Newton A. Webber and Curvine E. Carter.

Virgil lived and was affiliated with Starkey Incorporated for 29 years. He enjoyed watching a variety of cartoons, being around different fur babies, enjoyed listening to country music, and most of all spending time with his family and his bonus Starkey family.

Virgil loved showing his affection by giving hugs to his loved ones. "Boo" was a designated nickname and his response was always positive towards it. Virgil will be missed greatly by his mother, father, extended family and his Starkey family. He will always be loved and never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by: his maternal & paternal grandparents; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by: his father, Newton A. Webber; his mother, Curvine E. Carter (Greg); his uncles, Blair A. Daniels and Wayne E. Brown; along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 16, 2023, with the Funeral Service immediately following at 2:00 P.M., both at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, 11800 W. US-54 Highway, Wichita, Kansas. Cremation will follow the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Virgil's name, may be designated to Starkey Inc., 4500 W. Maple Street, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
