

On December 30, 1968, she married the love of her life, William Charles Clites, and together they built a life filled with love and family. Their joy expanded when they welcomed their daughter, Shal Marie Clites, on September 24, 1969.
Virginia was an extraordinary woman, deeply devoted to her family and cherished by all who knew her. She found happiness in life’s simple joys—nurturing her flower beds, admiring birds and wolves, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, and watching NASCAR. But above all else, she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Virginia spent over 30 years working at Cessna as a fuel cell sealer before retiring. She was known for her strength, determination, and a touch of stubbornness that made her unforgettable. Her resilience and passion left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Virginia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William (Bill) Clites; her parents, Lewis Sharp and Virgie Hoover; and her father- and mother-in-law, Lloyd (Clyde) and Norma (Grace) Clites.
She is survived by her daughter, Shal (Scott) VanNatta; her brothers, Richard (Nancy) Sharp and Michael (Norma) Sharp; her grandchildren, Tessa VanNatta, Tayler VanNatta, Brianna VanNatta, and Jonathan VanNatta; as well as three great-grandchildren; four nieces and six nephews, many cousins, and her cherished pets—four cats, one dog, and one pig.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 4:00 PM at 1501 South Bebe, Wichita, Kansas 67209 and all is welcome to attend.
