Vona L. Noble

Noble, Vona L.,94, passed away on April 25, 2016. She was born in Fairview, OK, on August 25, 1921 to Paul and Ruth Colby. In 1944 she married Herman Noble and they were together for 56 years until he passed away in 2000. They lived in Oklahoma until they moved to Wichita in 1956 where she resided until 2014. She entered into Fountainview Nursing and Rehab until her passing. They had three children together, Galen (Jana) of Arkansas City, KS, Lyneta (Rusty) Hollingsworth of Wichita, and Leland (Vickey, deceased) of Virgil, KS. Their grand-children include LaVeta Noble, Reagan Wittman, Lisa (Jake) Wheeler, Kara (John) Anderson, Ryan Hollingsworth, Vanessa Noble, and Cody Noble. Great grandchildren are Victoria Wheeler, Dylan, Colton, and Sadie Anderson. She is survived by one brother, Velden Colby of Citra, FL. Preceded in death by siblings Verlyn and Vinton Colby, and Veleta LeGate. Vona was a lifetime member of Church of God (7th Day), Herman and Vona were volunteers at the V.A. Hospital, and life members of Ex-POW and Purple Heart organizations. Funeral service will be held at Lakeview on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2pm, with burial to follow. Memorials can be made to Cheyenne Valley Alumni in Fairview, OK.
