Wayne Bacon

Wayne Bacon, age 80, retired flight line mechanic at Cessna, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Leroy and Theresa Katherine (Kunard) Bacon; brother, Melvin Bacon; and a sister, Mildred Gibson. Survivors include: wife of 58 years, Sharon Bacon, of the home; son, Tim Bacon, of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Tamra Kay and husband, Shawn Black; grandson, Tanner Black, all of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Lou Fowler, Reverend Juanita Wiseman, both of Wichita, Kansas Karen and husband, David Brown, Osage, Missouri; brother, Ray and wife, Marcia Bacon, McPherson, Kansas; sister-in-law, Jean Bacon, Rincon, Georgia; many nieces, ephews, and extended family. Viewing 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., at Hillside Funeral Home, 935 North Hillside, Wichita; funeral service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Grace Lutheran Church, 3310 East Pawnee Street, Wichita; burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Wichita.
