Wendy Kay Jameson

Wendy K. Jameson, 49, of Wichita, KS., went home to be with our Lord on July 22, 2020, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. Born on March 19, 1971 to George J. Jameson, Jr. and Mary A. (Ford) Dauner in Wichita. She was a lifelong resident of the area, while spending three years in Chillicothe, IL.

Wendy graduated from East High School, in Wichita, and attended Wichita State University.

She was employed by Bank of America for 20+ years, traveling across the US while working for them; and spent 3 years as a Medical Coder, in Illinois. Her love of cooking, baking, crocheting, knitting, sewing, crafting and serving others came from her mother. Wendy had a servant’s heart and spent time volunteering at the Lord’s Diner and Goddard’s Woman’s Club. She loved to listen to Christian music and a couple of her favorites were Amazing Grace and I Can Only Imagine. Wendy was a private person but we can take comfort in knowing that she loved Jesus and we will get to see her again one day! Our prayers are answered and she’s healed 100 percent now, just not in the way we had hoped.

Survived by her sisters, Sheila (Craig) Bannister, of Chillicothe, IL and Terri (Jimmy) Moore, of Goddard, KS; brother George “JR” Jameson, lll, of Mulvane, KS; nieces and nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles; great-aunts and great-uncle; and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents Donald & Virginia (Sughrue) Ford; and paternal grandparents George & Lorene (McDaniel) Jameson.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 10:00 am., with visitation at 9:00 am., at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. US-54, Wichita, KS 67209. Please remember that due to Covid-19 restrictions, gatherings cannot be any larger than 15 people.
