Wilburn "Bud" Charles Huntsinger, born on July 8, 1932, in Henrietta, North Carolina, passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 93. Bud was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bud was married to Margaret E. Culemann on May 2, 1953. They met in Pensacola, Florida, while he was serving in the United States Marine Corps and she was serving in the Navy. After four weeks of courtship, they were married in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and were inseparable ever since.
A man of many interests, Bud loved camping and fishing, especially when surrounded by his family. He was an active member of the San Diego Bluegrass Society and enjoyed playing guitar with them. Bud also cherished the many cruises he took to Ensenada, Mexico.
His dedication to community service was evident through his involvement with the California Free Masons and Shriners International.
Bud is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Culemann; his daughters, Margaret E. Young (David) and Kathryn L. Little (Brad); his son, Wilburn C. Huntsinger Jr. as well as nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred, Shirley, and Emojean; his brother, Bobby; and his son, John E. Huntsinger.
A committal service will be held at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, located at 1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156, on December 19, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
Bud's legacy of love, music, and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
