OBITUARY
William Harris Thompson
March 5, 1931 – February 16, 2021
William Harris Thompson, 89, passed away February 16, 2021. He was born on March 5, 1931 in Teague, Texas, to Avery Claude Thompson and Mary Etta (Harris) Thompson. William was a chemist, and mostly engineer, in the petroleum industry for most of his life. His greatest joy was family though. He married Jacqueline Perry, a talented musician and artist, on December 22, 1949 in Houston, Texas, and she and William would have a marriage lasting 66 years. Together, they would have three children and enjoy being grandparents, and great-grandparents. William was preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife, Jacqueline (Perry) Thompson. He is survived by sons, Brian Thompson, and Todd (Jackie) Thompson; daughter Julie (Richard) Burel; nephew, Rory Hill of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Courteney Hartman, Kyle Thompson, and Ashton (Todd) Watson; and great-granddaughter Ava Belle Cooper. A private family service will be held.
