Bill was born to Bobby Watson and Thelma Watson on July 24, 1961 and was an adorable baby.
Bill grew up with his three siblings and attended Wichita Public Schools. He later received his General Education Degree from the state of Kansas and went on to get an Associate’s Degree in Business from Friends University.
Bill worked as a bartender for a few years, but his main job was working for Southwestern Bell and AT&T. Bill’s career started at Southwestern Bell in 1980.
Bill’s first job was a Directory Assistance Operator, which was considered an entry level job at Southwestern Bell. During his time at Southwestern Bell and AT&T Bill worked in several departments and had the following jobs; Service Assistant, Service Representative (SR) in the Business office, SR on the Advanced Technology Team where he was an Integrated Service Digital Network (ISDN) expert SR.
After many years and in many departments, Bill felt like he was ready for a new height. Bill checked the Southwestern Bell job requisitions site and saw a posting for a management position in the Business office and felt like he would be a good fit. Bill got the job! He was promoted to management in in 2001 and was a manager in Small Business Accounts and Wholesale accounts for over 12 years. Bill retired on 12/30/2013 with over 33 years of Service with Southwestern Bell and AT&T.
After retirement Bill had fun going to the casinos in Wichita and Las Vegas, playing Bingo, having dates for breakfast or lunch with many of his friends. He especially loved meeting with the Southwestern Bell/AT&T lunch bunch every other month. It was a great time to catch up and find out what was happening with everyone. He loved being retired and having the time to take care of his beautiful home where he really enjoyed lounging on the patio enjoying his picturesque backyard!
Bill was loving, generous and kind. He loved sharing and giving to others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Bill loved dogs and had many of them in his life; Little Sophie, Schautzie, Big Sophie, Karen, BB and his little Amie all now in doggy heaven. He treated his little fur babies with the utmost care, love and affection.
Sadly, on April 12, 2021 Bill left this earth for a better place of healing and wholeness.

Left to remember him: Jeff Moore, Susan Blanton, Robert Watson, David Watson and Thomas Watson; nieces Patti Allen, Kristina Blanton and nephews Sean Blanton (Dawn), James Watson; fur baby Pebbles, and many faithful and loving lifelong friends.
Say not in grief Bill is no more, but in thankfulness that he was here and touched each of our hearts and lives in a tremendous way. BBH
