Winferd "WD" Durrell Tice, age 87, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Winferd was born December 3, 1933 to Charlie and Mae Tice. He served in the Army during the Korean War. WD loved his family, he enjoyed country western dancing and fishing with his son and his grandsons. After retirement he spent 4 years traveling in his RV around the United States. He was a huge OU fan, a well known Ford man, he loved to work on trucks, grow tomatoes, and lend a hand to his son Dallas and help out on the farm. WD had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. He is survived by his son Dallas (Amanda) Tice of Douglass, KS; his daughter Stephanie (Mark) Wagner of Willow Park, TX; his daughter Robbin (Ray) Klaver of Bend, OR; his daughter Vicki Benton of Wichita, KS; and his daughter Diane Bond from OR, grandchildren Colin (fiancé Mirlear Kong) Tice of Wichita, KS, Alexandra Tice, Joseph Tice, Sadie (Kacey) Wagner, great granddaughter Sophia Tice, sister Zelpha Mae Cline,, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
Winferd was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Doyle and Gail, sister Alverta and daughter Sherri Foster.
A celebration of life service for Winferd will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home Meadowlark Venue.
