

Anthony was born October 16, 1933 in Spokane to Cornelius (Neil) and Sylvia (Porter) Quirk. He attended Govan School and later attended school in Wilbur. Anthony married his wife, Roberta Pearce on June 18, 1955 at Sacred Heart Church in Wilbur. He bought a wheat farm in Mansfield in 1960 where they raised their two children, farmed for the next 34 years and was active in the community. Anthony served on the Mansfield School Board and also was a member of Washington Wheat Growers Association and member of Sacred Heart Church after returning to Wilbur in 1994.
Anthony enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, woodworking, playing the harmonica, watching his favorite team the Zags, and spending time with his family.
Anthony went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on February 6, 2016 in Spokane. He is survived by his wife Roberta (Pearce) Quirk, his children, Arlene (Reggie) Martinez of Torrance California, and Dean (Julie) Quirk of Spokane. Six grandchildren, Jesse, Jamie (Jessica), Danelle, Lonnie, Kara and Matthew. Three great-grandchildren, Tyson, Ella, and Jaslin. One brother Tom (Sandy) Quirk and one sister Marie (Bob) Jones, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Roberta Darrow.
Rosary service will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at 7:00 P.M. and a funeral mass will be Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wilbur, WA with Father Kenny St. Hilaire, officiating.
