In 1948 Dorothy married Robert Rosman. They had four children, Kathy, Bob, Mary and Fred. Robert Rosman passed in 1999. Dorothy was a loving mother to all her children. Her care for them was always physical and spiritual. She raised her children on a wheat farm where everyone learned to work as a family. Dorothy was the driving spirit that held us all together. Dorothy was very spiritual. She saw to it that religion was an important part of our lives. Going to mass weekly, saying the Rosary, evening prayers were the norm. Dorothy was Irish. Her maiden name was “McCaffery” and she wore her heritage as a proud green badge. Once a year she changed her name to “McRosman”. There are two Irish songs that best describe her. The first is “When Irish Eyes are Smiling”. Dorothy had a smile that would light up a room. Even in her last days everyone remarked about her beautiful smile. Moreover Dorothy had a quick Irish wit and at times a sharp sense of humor. The second song that best describes Dorothy is “Clancy Lowered the Boom”. Dorothy was a friend you could count on. While she didn’t get out of her house often, when she did she would greet everyone with open arms. Dorothy had a soft heart and was generous to a fault.
