July 19, 1954 – March 2, 2018
James “Jim” Andrew Roberts (63) of Wilbur, Washington passed away Friday morning, March 2nd , 2018 in Davenport, Washington. Jim was born July 19th, 1954 in Baker, Montana into the home of Charles Martin and Anna Jeannette Roberts. A 1972 graduate of Monroe High School, Jim became an electrician and was a proud member of the IBEW for over 40 years. At the time of his passing, Jim was a Superintendent II in the right power house at the Grand Coulee Dam, where he had worked since October 2008.
Jim loved to fish and talked about taking up golf but spending time with his family was when he was the happiest. Jim accomplished many things in his lifetime but his proudest accomplishments were his two children, Jason and Jessica.
Jim was known for his amazing optimism as well as his acceptance of everyone without judgement. We will miss so many things about Jim...his big heart, his quick wit, the twinkle in his eyes when he laughed, but most of all his warm and wonderful bear hugs.
Jim was preceded in death by both parents and his brother Eddie Roberts. Jim’s legacy lives on through his long-time love Vivian Lang, his children Jessica Nebel (Dax) and Jason Roberts (Amy) , Vivian’s children, whom he loved very much, Sean Lang (Rosie), Christine Lang and Stacey Lang (Michael Moreno), ten grandchildren; brothers: Chuck Roberts (Linda) and Tom Roberts; sister: Ann Roberts and several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jim’s name to: Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or through their website: https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/spokane. “Thank you!”

To Jim’s family.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jim in the 90’s. What a great man.
He sure reminded me of his father Charles whom I also had the pleasure of meeting and working with in the late 70’s.
Jim, you left us way to early!
Bye for now, your friend Greg

I worked with Jim at the Dam and attended quite a few leadership training sessions with him as well as just day-to-day interactions on the job. Jim was such a kind and considerate man. He was highly regarded by his crew and all of the supervisors and staff at the Grand Coulee Power Office. He is missed very much. Heartfelt condolences to the family.

Jason, Jessica, Vivian and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your father and partner. It is never easy saying goodbye, and I am struggling with this loss also. Jim and I were inseparable during our younger days traveling the states looking for work and finding friends along the way. He will be missed.
