Violet Rosella Johnson Anyan

Was born on December 12, 1926 to Magnus and Amanda Johnson in the Peach, WA area. She attended school in Creston and later graduated from Creston High School. Violet married Everett “Corky” Anyan on September 27, 1947 in Creston, WA. They continued to live in the Lincoln area while raising their four children Karen, Keith, Janet and Pam. Violet worked at various jobs around the Creston area and for the Post Office in Lincoln, but her favorite job was being a loving wife and mother to her family. Violet passed away on December 17, 2014 in Cheney, WA. She is survived by her four children Karen (and Barry) Tilson, Keith (and Jean) Anyan, Janet (and Mike) Kenney and Pam Anyan along with 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, her sister Alice Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. Violet is preceded in death by her husband Everett “Corky” Anyan, grandson Sean Tilson, three brothers and five sisters. Violet was a member of the Creston Christian Church, Lincoln Ladies Home club, and Creston Alumni Assoc. Violet enjoyed baking, quilting, the outdoors, raking and burning debris, traveling, card games, gambling and visiting with friends. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Creston Christian Church, with Pastor Guy Schmielau, officiating.
