

Alvin’s career was marked by his unwavering dedication to service. He began as a policeman in Washington, D.C., where he served with distinction. His commitment to his country was further demonstrated through his time in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Battalion Sergeant Major. He honorably served in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany, earning multiple commendations, including two Meritorious Service Medals for his exemplary service.
A lifelong learner, Alvin pursued an education that culminated in a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Colorado Technical University. He served the public as the Director of Operations at the Department of Labor, with an extensive post-retirement career in security management, loss prevention, and investigation.
Alvin was also passionate about martial arts, training diligently to achieve the rank of 4th Degree Master, Sa Bom Nim, in Soo Bahk Do. His love for martial arts reflected his disciplined approach to life and his commitment to personal growth.
Alvin’s legacy extends beyond his professional and martial achievements. He was a devoted husband to Leanora Fisher and a cherished father to his children, Alvin Fisher, Jr., Dana Fisher Sneed, Pamela Michelle Fisher, and David Sterling Fisher. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Joyce Traynham, and his grandchildren.
A memorial service honoring Alvin’s life will be held on **December 8, 2025**, at **Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center**, 7134 Powell Road, Wildwood, Florida 34785. Viewing will begin at **10:00 AM**, followed by services at **11:00 AM**, with burial at **1:30 PM at Bushnell Military Cemetery**. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating a remarkable life dedicated to service, leadership, and love.
