

Anita spent her younger years in St. Louis city before moving with her family to a new suburb home in Oakville, MO. She graduated from Mehlville High School and headed to Mizzou in Columbia, MO for college. She graduated with a BS in Industrial Engineering and started her career at Colgate in Kansas City. After a couple of years, she headed back to St. Louis for a job with Anheuser Busch (AB). She enjoyed a wonderful career at AB where she accomplished a lot and made many lifelong friends. During those years she completed her MBA at St. Louis University and when she took an early retirement from AB she started AIM, her own consulting company. She used her years of experience to guide various companies on process and quality improvements.
Anita moved to The Villages, FL in 2019. She was excited to exchange snow for year-round golf and pickleball. She loved living in the Villages and tried to convince everyone who visited that they should move there too.
Anita was always active and enjoyed sailing and competitive sports, especially tennis, pickleball, and golf. She played in many pickleball tournaments with her friends and loved it. She was active in the Villages Senior Games earning multiple medals. She enjoyed photographing wildlife and most recently she took up watercolor painting and became quite good in a brief time.
Anita was a wonderful person. She was kind, generous, funny and everyone enjoyed being with her. She had the opportunity to travel to many places with friends and family and treasured those memories. She was an amazing neighbor, friend, sister, aunt, and great aunt. She loved to spoil her friends and family. She lived life to the fullest, loved well and will be missed by so many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Shirley Marx. She is survived by her brother, Mike (Sandy) Marx, Nephew Jason (Jeannie) Marx, Niece Stephanie Marx, Cousin Janice Bunda, dog Skipper, and a precious great nephew and great niece.
A Celebration of Life Saturday will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1PM – 5PM at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center, 7134 Powell Road, Wildwood, FL 34785.
