Carolyn Spickenagel, 99, of Wildwood, FL, formerly of Plant City, passed away on April 21, 2026. She was born on September 20, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to her late parents John Jardine and Garnet Niswender. Carolyn and her husband loved traveling, boating, were active church members, and were very devoted to each other.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Peter Spickenagel, and her son Ronald; sisters, Joyce, Jewel, and Audrey.
She is survived by 3 children: Merely Popiel, Nancy Desmond, Kathleen Sebastian; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 Pm at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center, 7134 Powell Road in Wildwood. A service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Children's Home, Shriner's Children's Hospital, or Community United Methodist Church.
