Doris Kershaw Guba, a dedicated educator, devoted family matriarch, and passionate lover of music and golf, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 16, 2025, at the age of 97. She now joins her beloved husband and life partner, Richard Amsler Guba, in heaven.
Born on March 30, 1928, Doris lived a full and vibrant life characterized by service, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.
She was a proud graduate of Cornell University and dedicated many years to a rewarding career as a teacher, homemaker and mother.
Doris enjoyed a rich life alongside her husband, Dick. The couple shared a deep affinity for coastal living and fellowship, evidenced by their long-time memberships in the Venice Yacht Club, the Englewood Methodist Church, and the Boca Royale Golf and Country Club. Doris's personal passions included playing the piano, rounds of golf, and, above all, cherishing time spent with her family.
She is survived by her loving brother, Tom Kershaw, and her three devoted children: Gwen Stanley, Rick Guba, and Randy Guba. Her legacy continues through her large and loving extended family, including five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
