Gilberto Valle-Hernandez was born on February 6, 1941, in Isabela, Puerto Rico. He was the second child of Gilberto and Mercedes Valle. Growing up near the beach, he developed a love for swimming, boating, and fishing. In his late teens, he moved to New York City to be with the love of his life and start a family. Over time, he learned the language and built a career as a commercial painter. On July 3, 2024, in Eustis, Florida, he passed away at the age of eighty-three. He is survived by his wife, Maria, daughter Betsy, son-in-law Miguel, and six beloved grandchildren: Ashley, Cienna, John-Michael, Michael-Caleb, Michael-Isaiah, and Nathan-Michael. Gilberto will always be remembered as a kind-hearted and hardworking man who cherished his family deeply.
