

Louise was born on June 21, 1935, in Greentop, Missouri, to Roy Hewitt and Sylvia Byrn Hewitt. She grew up in Willmathsville, Missouri, and graduated from high school in Greentop.
In 1953, Louise married George A. “GA” Lyons of Brashear, Missouri. Together, they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage.
Louise worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 14 years while GA pursued his career with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) overseas. Their assignments took them to Bermuda, Morocco, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Japan, the Philippines, and Louisiana. Louise enjoyed international travel and raising their three sons.
Louise is survived by her three sons, Kelly Lyons and his wife, Patti; Mike Lyons and his wife, Rhonda; and Gary Lyons, husband of the late Virginia Turner. She is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Theresa Hewitt; and her half-sister, Betty Jean Hewitt Franken.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, GA; her brothers, Junior and Leon Hewitt; and her sister, Carole Hewitt Moots.
A Celebration of Life for Louise in The Villages, Florida, and her inurnment alongside her husband, GA, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, will both be held at a later date. Please refer to the Dignity Memorial Life Celebration website for updated service information.
