Joanne Maida Quinn

Joanne Maida Quinn, 86, of The Villages, FL passed away on June 12, 2025. Joanne was born the eldest of four children to the late William and Maida Hegyi on August 28th, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio. Joanne loved her family and was actively involved in her children’s lives. She loved sewing and was a seamstress for the St. Helen’s Unicycle team in Newbury, OH. She added golf as a hobby in her forties and became very proficient having recorded 4 hole-in-ones through the years she played. She always spoke very fondly of the many friends and friendships she made out on the golf course. She also enjoyed dancing, exercising in the pool, playing cards and games, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joanne is survived by 4 children; Patrick, Dennis, Tammy, and Kelly; 6 Grandchildren, John Patrick and Brittany, Kate and Allison, Rachel and Taylor; 7 Great-Grandchildren, Kylee and Josh, Selah and Cormac, Quinn, Callum, and Hope.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Henry Patrick, Daughter; Sheryl, 2 Brothers; Bill and Lewis, and Sister, Diane.

A Celebration of Life for Joanne will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 12-4PM at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center, 7134 Powell Road Wildwood, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
