Joseph John Bonaccorso, 85, of Wildwood, FL, passed away on September 24, 2026. He was born on June 16, 1941, in Fulton, New York, to the late Joseph and Ida Bonaccorso. Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
Joseph was a hardworking man who took pride in everything he did. During his life, he worked as a stockbroker and a butcher, always approaching his work with dedication and care.
He enjoyed remote-control airplanes and the patience and skill they required. His greatest passion, however, was horse racing. Joseph spent many years involved in Standardbred harness racing, training and caring for horses and serving as a driver. He loved the sport and dedicated much of his time and energy to it.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Charlene (Charlie); his children, Lori Bonaccorso, Lisa Newton, Alex DeFio, and Bobby and Tina Riley; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center, 7134 Powell Road, Wildwood, FL 34785, on October 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the same location at 11:30 a.m.
Joseph will be remembered as a hardworking, devoted, and caring man who loved his family and the things that brought him joy. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
