I wanted to share this memory. Every Tuesday at 1:00 Bill and I would meet with Ken and Beverly to play samba at the clubhouse. Ken and Beverly taught us the game and we would talk about politics, family and our community , we look forward to our time together every week. We treasure our friendship with Ken and Beverly. Ken always had such wonderful insight he was so intelligent and was read up on everything that was going on in our country and community. We will miss his beautiful smile and kindness. Beverly was always there with a kind word when I was going through sorrows. Beverly encouraged me to get involved with the bake sale in our community and some of the functions that the community puts on like Derby Day and Cabana night we had such fun. We know that Ken is now in the arms of his Savior. We hope that the knowledge of this will comfort Beverly and that God will fill her with his Peace.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Zack's passing.  Growing up and spending so much time with your family at 16 Gorman Ave was a real blessing and created many memories with your father/Ken.  I'll limit this to 3 memories.
#1 - Premier Cyclist:   Back around 1973 when I was 13 or 14, I acquired a fancy new "10 Speed" bicycle.   Mr. Zack, an old man of around 37ish with a twinkle in his eye, challenged me to a bike race up the street on his old single speed balloon-tired cruiser.  Needless to say, the youngster got schooled, and I'm sure this victory made his day.
#2 - Scaring us straight:   Wayne and I were at a sleep out one summer night, which as a teenager meant "see what shenanigans you can get into".  Seems we escaped the backyard and found ourselves up behind East Pike Elementary School checking out the current showing at the drive-in theatre.  Apparently, Mr. Zack was clairvoyant as he figured out where we had gone and snuck up on us in the dark.  He scared us out of our sneakers when all of a sudden, an authoritative loud voice yelled "hey, what are you boys doing".  (Wayne, I'm sure you have a more accurate memory)
#3 - Top Salesman:   In my late teens Mr. Zack talked with me about thinking ahead and planning for my financial future.  Since I wanted to get the best price before I got old and the rates went up, I purchased a whole life policy from Metropolitan Life just prior to my 16th birthday.  Mr. Zack was very convincing and a heck of an insurance salesman. 
So many memories growing up and spending time with Mr. Zack, Wayne, and the whole family from; Gorman Ave, to Indian Lake and then on to Florida.

Ken was a wonderful man. I have good memories of him and his kind personalty.  I wish he could have been with us longer.
