

Michael Neal Davis passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 78. His wife and family were at his side. He was born on December 3, 1946, in Harrisburg, Illinois, and grew up in Waterford, Michigan. He was the first-born child to William and Eva Davis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee, and his sister Gwen, and is survived by his wife, Robbie, sisters Marlene and Pat, daughter Michelle, and stepchildren Brian, Troy, Robyn, and Tiffany, as well as 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Mike attended Waterford Township High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964 and went to basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. While in basic training, Mike was ready to go to Vietnam but was one of two people pulled from his company and directed to go to tank training as an Armor Crewman where he was sent to Company B, 5th Battalion, 32d Armor in Munich, West Germany from 1964-1967.
After the Army, Mike returned home to Waterford, Michigan and enjoyed spending time with his best friend Steve Voss. He went to work for the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office at the county jail. Not long after that, he started as a patrolman working for the Waterford Township Police Department. Mike met Robbie in 1986, they fell in love and were married in 1987. Mike later became a firearms instructor and background investigator until he retired in 1998.
After retiring, Mike and Robbie moved to Dothan, Alabama. Mike, who had a passion for golf, worked as an ambassador at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Highland Oaks. After enduring a couple Alabama summers on the golf course, he transitioned to become the captain of airport security at Dothan Regional Airport and then on to be a bailiff at the Houston County Courthouse.
Mike and Robbie moved to The Villages, Florida to be closer to family. Mike was known for his big heart, great sense of humor and boisterous laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.
