Ray met Diane in the early 1970s, when they both lived in different buildings of the International Village complex in Lombard, IL. After dating for some time, they married on 1 August 1981 in Lombard, making their first family home in Roselle, IL. Soon after that, they purchased a house in Lombard, where they raised their two sons and where they stayed until deciding to purchase a home in The Villages, FL early in 2013.
