

Bob was born on May 3, 1943, in Newton, lowa, to the late Louis and Phyllis (Ham) Cruchelow. He graduated from Davenport Central High School before beginning a career in the printing industry with Liljequist Linotypers. Throughout his career, Bob gained experience in every aspect of the business, including camera operations, press work, and typesetting, before advancing to a successful sales position. He retired in 2000 after many years of dedicated service.
In 1961, Bob enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served as a cook for four years. He later fulfilled the remainder of his military service obligation with the United States Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1969.
Bob enjoyed an active life filled with fishing, hunting, bowling, golf, and softball. Following retirement, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and proudly watching them participate in their any sporting activities.
On December 4, 1965, Bob married the love of his life, Janet E. Vogt, in Davenport, lowa.Together they shared 60 years of marriage, building a lifetime of cherished memories.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Janet Cruchelow; his children, Kim (Jim) Hart of Stoughton, Wisconsin, and Todd (Tara) Cruchelow of The Villages, Florida; his sister, Rebecca Lammers; his grandchildren, Leighton Hart, Maia Hart, and Dylan (Fabi) Cruchelow; and his great-grandson, Leo Cruchelow; his special cousin, William Slavens.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Cruchelow; his sister, Carol Allen; and his special brother-in-law, Lawrence Vogt.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family invites friends and loved ones to share online condolences and cherished memories in Bob's honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of the family's choice at a later date.
