Thomas Francis Ryan Jr.

Born in Clinton Ia. on February 1, 1940

Died October 7, 2025 at Cornerstone Hospice.

He went to elementary school in South School. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1958 where he was a 4 sport athlete. He attended Iowa State for 2 years.

Tom was married at Sacred Heart Church Clinton Ia. on February 11, 1961 to Dorothy Ann Gehl. He and Dorothy drove through all the 50 states and Canada. He was a life- long fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was a member of the Davenport Chordbusters Barbershop Quartet.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Karen) Ryan- Manlinowski, Eric (Jen) Ryan and John Ryan. Brothers, Steve (Pat) Ryan, Terry (Raedene) Ryan, Ed (Judy) Ryan, Sheila (Steve) Hensel and Mary (Gary) Determan.

Tom was proceeded in death by his Parents Thomas Francis Ryan Sr. and Marvel Elaine Ryan, his brother Robert Isadore Ryan, his sister Marvel Ryan, and 2 daughters Kelly Liston and Jennifer Thompson.

Tom worked at Clinton Corn where he went to South AFrica to open up a new Plant. He also worked as an Insurance agent with Prudential, and a Service Inspector with Chemplex/Quantum/Equistar/LyonedellBasell in Clinton Ia.

He retired in 2002 to spend time with his family.

Tom and Dorothy moved to The Villages, Florida in 2023 to be closer to their daughter, and enjoy the Florida Sun.

He will have a service at Lemke Funeral Home in Clinton, Ia. and be buried in Oakland Cemetery.
