To Aunt Donna and family:
Uncle Carl was more like an older brother to me than an Uncle. I have so many childhood memories of our being together and he always made us laugh.
As you well know, he was very special to my mother and will be greatly missed. We need to thank God for sharing him with us for as many years as he did.
I wish you much peace and love,

Hi Donna,
I was sorry to read of Carls passing. He was a good friend to me, the pesky neighbor kid. I intended to try and find him, but sadly,I waited too long. I will remember him as a witty, happy, gentle man, and I am sorry for the loss to you and your family.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you Donna, and the family! Just read it in the paper today or I would have been at the memorial! He was the best boss I ever had the pleasure to work for! He always took care of business, but was never too busy to hear, or tell a good joke!! He will be missed by anyone who ever had the chance and good will to meet him!! Love to you all, Denny Vanderpool (Willard, Oh)

Carl was a great man to work for and with. THe countless saturdays spent talking about everything from the store to the military will never be forgotten. He always had the ability to lighten in the mood with his big smile or the halarious jokes. He will be missed and my greatest condolences go out to the families
