Kurtis J Smith

Kurtis J. Smith (29) of Bellevue, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home. He was born October 29, 1985 in Norwalk. Kurtis served in the US Army National Guard with a tour in Iraq. He was a diesel mechanic for Norfolk and Southern Railroad and enjoyed hunting, working out at the gym, and helping people farm. Kurtis loved anything that ran on diesel and was a member of the Volkswagen TDI club. He truly cherished being a father and loved spending time with his wife and daughter.

Kurtis is survived by his wife: Leslie (Eckhart) Smith of Bellevue, daughter: Lily Smith, son: Kolbi Horst of Archbold, Mother: Kimberly (Nathan) Sauder of Archbold, father: Alan W. Smith of Republic, Grandparents: Donald Stevens of Archbold, Loren Sauder of Archbold, Sherry Smith of Republic, Ruth Smith of Republic, Tom (Lucy) Hay of Willard and Linda Doolittle of McComb. Brothers: Joshua Smith of Republic, Chase Smith of Archbold, Cody Sauder of Wauseon, sisters: Kaihle Sauder of Archbold, Elise Sauder of Virginia and Kerstie Ramey of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Road, Fremont Ohio, with Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave., Willard.
