Mary Ann Hatton (83) of Norwalk passed away, Friday afternoon, February16, 2018 at Stein Hospice peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends. Mary was born April 14, 1934 in Willard to the late Ted Slagle and Margaret (Rinker) Slagle Ellis. She graduated from Willard High School, class of 1954 and was employed by Pioneer Rubber Company (Glove division) for 17 years in Willard. Mary was a member of the Columbus Ave. United Methodist Church and enjoyed travel, puzzles, going out to dinner and most of all taking care of her grandchildren: Candace, Logan and Vinnie whom she adored with all of her heart. Mary is survived by her daughter Tracey Lynn (Charles) Strong of Norwalk, 3 grandchildren: Candace Elizabeth Brauer of Sandusky, Logan Ross (Courtnee) Brauer of Columbus, and Charles Vincent Amicon Strong Jr. at home, soon to be great granddaughter: Brinley Ann Brauer, sister: Leola Hough of Willard along with various other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Howard Clayton Hatton in 1995, Step father Walter Ellis, Stepmother Leona Slagle, Brother: Homer Slagle, ½ brother: Gerald Slagle, ½ sister: Patricia Henderson, step brother: Vernon Benninson Jr. and 2 step sisters: Pauline Bowmar and Wanda Boswell. Mary never knew a stranger and acted like a mom to a lot of her daughters friends: Stephanie, Kyleen, Dawn, Jackie, Robin and Angie. Friends may call Friday February 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Lindsey Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard, Ohio 44890. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ted Austin officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Willard. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Margaretta High School Athletic Boosters or Edison High School Music Boosters through the funeral home.

I can't believe you are gone mom. I will miss you with all of my heart and soul. I know you are an angel watching over Candace, Logan, Vinnie and I. Please keep an eye on your great granddaughter when she is born. Im sorry you couldn't stick around for her to be born, but I know you will know!!
