Murvil Lee Sparks Sr. (73) passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home in Tiro. He was born August 7, 1942 in Haldeman KY to the late Aurthur DeWhitt “Dee” Sparks and Hattie Melinda Madalene (Wells) Sparks. Mr. Sparks is retired from Galion LLC where he worked for 12 years. He leaves behind his wife, Eva Mae (Evans) Sparks whom he married September 5, 1987. Two sons: Richard Allen (Sharon) Sparks of Clarksburg, WV and Manuel Lee (Loretta) Sparks of Tiro. Step-son: Harry Shawn (Malena) Evans of Trio, Daughter: Dana Lynn Sparks of Clarksburg, WV, Step-daughter: Loucinda Kay (Steve) Gayheart of Willard. One uncle whom he was very close with: Vernon Sparks of Mt. Sterling’s, KY. Step-brother: Lloyd Mays of Morehead, KY, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Benny Conley of Carthage, IN, son: Murvil Lee Sparks, Jr. of Clarksburg, WV, step-son: Richard Keith Evans of Tiro and grandson: Shawn Michael Evans of Trio along with several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call from 1pm – 3pm Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Merlin Dye officiating with internment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven, Ohio.
