Prayers for all of the family. As I knew you all. Too many memories to mention! Anyway may god bless you and keep a hand upon your shoulder as you move thru this loss. He was always a happy man, and your mom was the absolute BEST cake baker in all the land. She would have given Buddie on Cake Boss a run for his money. Lol To my friend Mary take care and god bless. Nevin was one of the finest men I knew. I worked 45 years ago for him and he taught me many things about fairness, working hard, treating people well and honesty. I was a lucky to have known him. My thoughts and prayers with his family as we now have another saint in heaven with his wife Ardinell and son Dwight.

So sorry for your loss. Even though we know that Nevin has entered into a much better place, it still leaves a big hole in this life. What a blessing Nevin was to our whole family. He was so open about sharing his love for God, his family and his friends. He was such a loyal friend to both of my parents. He especially lived out that loyalty during the last year of Dad's life. He was so faithful to call and check up on Dad and to come and visit him. Dad didn't always remember him by name but his heart always recognized him. When he walked through the door. Dad's eyes would light up and he would get a big grin on his face. Many times after Nevin left, Dad would say - "I don't remember his name, but I know he is a good man". Yes Nevin was truly a good man! He touched the lives of so many people. He has left this physical life but not without leaving a big imprint behind. I have sadness in my heart today because he is physically gone but I also have joy in my heart because he was a part of my life.

So sorry again for your loss.

I, and two of my brothers, worked for Nevin at Border's Market. It was first job and I loved working there and it has always been my favorite job!
Nevin was one of the most honest people I've had in my life. He was a wonderful example of how we are to live our lives.
Aside from the fun I had working at the market, I will always remember when he took myself and other co-workers to a college production of 'Fidler on the Roof', that was such a treat for me!

I was saddened to read of Nevin's passing, he was such a nice man. I certainly enjoyed working for him all those years ago. I remember walking in each morning, and he would be working hard at sharpening all the knives....they were very sharp! I am sure he is enjoying a reunion with his loved ones who passed before him. My prayers and thoughts are with them and the family still on earth. God bless.

I have so many memories of this wonderful man. When I think of him I picture him in his white (well, white at one time) apron in the butcher shop. He was usually smiling as we ran around the shop playing. He was always patient and kind. I have such a warm place in my heart for him. Our love and sympathy to all of you. He left a wonderful legacy in all of you.
