Stanton Gose of Mansfield died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born November 28, 1940 in Willard to the late Reuben and Cloia (Adams) Gose. He was retired from Empire/AK Steel, Mansfield and was and member of the sons of Herman, American Legion, VFW, Amvets and Eagles Clubs of Mansfield. Mr. Gose in his younger years fished, Hunted, worked crossword puzzles. He also loved to swim and was always with a book in hand reading or writing Poems. He was formerly married to Beverly “Gail” Sawyer.
Mr. Gose is survived by his 3 daughters: Kimberly (David) Williams of Lucas, Kristin (Christopher Bradshaw) Gose of Hilliard, and Katharine (Billy) Taylor of Mansfield. 9 grandchildren: Brittney (Josh Short) Bradshaw, Lauren (Jacob) Bergstrom, Morgan (Anthony) Carelly, Hanna (Joey Burns) Chase, Jordynn (Justin) Liggett, Hunter Bradshaw, Trey Williams, McKynna Taylor and Layne Fausnaugh, 3 great grandchildren: Kiersten Whisler, Emilia Carelly and Eli Bergstrom. 2 brothers: Claude (Helen) Gose of Heath and Chandos (Jan) Gose of Norwalk, sister: Connie (John) Fackler of Shelby as well as many beloved relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents: Reuben and Cloia Gose, Brothers: Lance and Carson Gose, sisters: Anna Mary Gose and Lucille Hamons, Nephew: Larry Hamons and Great grandchildren: “the Trips” Evalynn, Emerie and Ella Bergstrom and best friends: Christopher Bradshaw and Ed O’Leary.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Avenue, Willard. Friends may call 11:00 AM till the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Memorial Contributions may be made to the funeral home. His family wishes to thank many of the friends and family for their love, support and prayers and Riverside Methodist Hospital for their compassionate care.
