Theodore Stope

Theodore Stope (84) passed to his heavenly home Monday, March 19, 2018. He was born in Delancey, NY July 22, 1933. He graduated from Delaware Academy, Delhi, NY in 1953. Mr. Stope served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. Ted was a dairy farmer and moved to the Willard area in 1972 to provide his children with a Christian School education.

He is survived by his wife Hilda Stope of Willard, son: Tom (Becky) Stope of Willard, daughter: Sheila (Mark) Brouwer of Hudsonville, MI and son: Jim Stope of Waynesville, Oh. 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother: Peter Stope of Sidney, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Joe; parents: Peter and Johanna Stope and brothers: Andrew, Louis and Cornelius Stope.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Christian Alliance Church, 1609 S. Conwell Ave, Willard with a celebration of life service being held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the church with Pastor Steve McKnight officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. In Lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be made the Celeryville Christian School or the Great Commission Fund of the Christian Alliance Church through the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard, Ohio 44890.
