Ann Tilburne Russell

Ann Tilburne Russell, 79, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on July 10, 2026. She was born December 18, 1946, in Bethesda, MD, and was preceded in death by her father, Edward Roanoke Tilburne, Captain, USN (Ret.), and mother, Alice Collins Tilburne.

Ann graduated from Ferguson High School in Newport News, VA. Prior to graduation, Ann lived globally following her father’s career in places like Japan and all over the coasts of the United States.

She was a dedicated mother and housewife, as well as a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking, reading, glass fusion jewelry making, and spending time with her family.

Ann is survived by her husband, Arthur James Russell, Jr.; sons, Arthur James Russell III (Kim) and Christopher Edward Russell (Mary Cristina); grandchildren, Abigail Russell, Margaret Russell, John Russell, David Burkhart, Vincent Burkhart, John Delaney, Christopher Delaney, and Thomas Delaney; god-children, Danny Rhodes, Brian Rhodes, Charlie Rhodes, Doug Rhodes, and David Zellers; and siblings, Barbara Payne, Jammie Robey Chesley, and Lynn McLaughlin.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Lane, Williamsburg, VA, 23188 on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
