

Billie Miller Huffman, 90, went home to her Lord after a lengthy illness on December 25, 2022. A longtime resident of Williamsburg, Billie was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on August 24, 1932, the second of four children born to Troy and Hazel Miller. Billie married Archie Huffman in 1952. Shortly after their marriage, the two moved to Williamsburg, where they raised two daughters and attended Grace Baptist Church with their children. Billie participated in various church activities, including singing in the choir, serving on the teller committee, and working with the children’s group on Wednesday evenings.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings: Ellen Huffman, L.T. Miller, and Rita Helmandollar. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Vickie Berry (Don) of Hayes, and Melissa Duckworth (Jim) of Williamsburg; grandchildren: Matt Berry (Jewel) of Kentucky, Devin Berry (Hailey) of Mattaponi, James Duckworth, and Tina Smith (Charlie) of Williamsburg; and great-grandchildren: Zeppelin, Colton, Violet, Scooter, Archie, Alita, Hailey, Gavyne, and Skylar.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Gloucester, especially Lisa Kubicki and Amanda Baines, and loving caregivers Jessie Poulin and Carl Arthur for their kindness and dedication to Miss Billie during her illness.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., Grace Baptist Church, 1013 Penniman Road, Williamsburg, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 p.m., also at Grace Baptist. Interment will be at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
