She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Fife and mother, Frances Bouchard.
Brenda graduated from Rappahannock Community College with an Associate Degree and was formerly employed as a tailor with Colonial Williamsburg. Her hobbies include writing and she was best known for the book “Gone to Gonega”. Brenda was also a talented seamstress and quilter and loved knitting, blankets, and cross-stitch. She also sang in her church choir and had a deep interest in music including playing the clarinet, piano, and violin.
Survivors include her husband, John T. Renwick; daughters, Melanie Drennen (Lawrence) of Norfolk, VA and Rebecca Head, also of Norfolk, VA; Step-daughter, Hannah Tate (Chris) of Raleigh, NC; Step-son Timothy J. Renwick (Lauren) of Toano, VA; Step-daughter, Mary Hodges (Mark) of Vinton, VA; grandchildren, Maiya Pickford (Jacksonville, NC), Lily Tayo (Norfolk, VA), Naomi Drennen (Norfolk, VA), Joseph Drennen (Norfolk, VA), Noah Drennen (Norfolk, VA), Isaac Drennen (Norfolk, VA), Olivia Drennen (Norfolk, VA), Samuel Drennen (Norfolk, VA), Ezekiel Drennen (Norfolk, VA), Zoe Drennen (Norfolk, VA) and Elaine Renwick (Toano, VA).
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Memorial Baptist Church in Lightfoot, Virginia (6515 Richmond Road) on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10AM. Inurnment will be determined at a later date.
