On March 6, 2025, Charles F. Leahey Jr. (Chuck) reunited with his beloved wife Mary. While we are sad, we are happy and thrilled for Chuck/Dad/Pop-Pop as this was the last celebration he was waiting for.
Born to Charles F. Leahey Sr. and Sally Guzikowski in the suburbs of Chicago, he had a long and fulfilled life. Chuck was in the Navy, obtained a bachelor’s through the GI bill and earned two master’s degrees while the Head of household of a young family in southern California. Dad was famous for telling anyone new at Assisted Living about his master’s degrees and his job at the V.A.
Chuck was a member of Toastmasters; the Knights of Columbus and Chuck and Mary were long time members of St. Bede Catholic Church and former members of St. Mary’s in Northern Virginia. Chuck loved his grandkids (even at times including his grand dogs) and loved to play all kinds of music which entertained staff and residents at assisted living with many types of genres (as of late Billy Joel) and loud.
